More than a school or daycare, Montessori is truly a way of life. It is providing an environment that encourages the child’s curiosity and independence, while observing the child and accepting them where they are, without judgment in any capacity. This environment is prepared for the child by the adult and provides them the freedom to play and learn with what they are interested in, all while encouraging mutual respect between the child and adult. The Montessori approach see’s the child as an individual and the parent's role is to support them as a gentle guide and leader, without taking away from their ability to learn and complete tasks independently. When the child is playing, Montessori considers this the child “working” and encourages the parent to stay quiet and let the child focus. The Montessori way of life is to plant seeds in our children, providing them with the conditions required for success, making changes when necessary, and watching them grow into their own individual person. As Maria Montessori once said, “The educators (including parents) behave as do good gardeners and cultivators towards their plants (the child)”.

INSPIRED play cafe embraces each cornerstone of the Reggio Approach. We will feed your child’s curious mind in a positive, nutritional, and educational way through play. We believe in the Reggio Amelia approach to learning and agree that children are powerful and capable individuals, with the ability and desire to construct their own knowledge.
